Word traveled quickly and it was not long until the failure of Ryuuhei's test had reached the ears of his family. The snow haired bodyguard in training had finally made his way back to his family estate where he stopped in place, the many different scenario's playing through his mind. He was the first in over several generations of Mako warriors to ever be caught whilst infiltrating a potential clients home and the first to come back alone. He could only imagine what his mother and father would say, they were not going to be happy to say the least but the shame of it all was overwhelming. Just thinking about it made Ryuuhei sick to his stomach as he placed his right palm against the gates to the family acreage, pushing it open and stepping along the stone walkway. The family mansion was about 500 meters up the path, where it sat upon a large rolling hill and was precariously placed on a ledge that oversaw the ocean.
He knew that the moment he had stepped inside his property, his entire family was made aware of his presence, there was no point in trying to dawdle. A few moments of walking passed and Ryuuhei found himself in front of the large ivory oak door that sealed the entrance to his home. The mansion was massive, it was a much older home than several of the ones that were in his neighborhood, judging by the architecture, it had to have been built around 300 years ago. The young member of the Mako family looked over the mansion with less than impressed eyes, while others might be more than shocked at the archway entrance and it's 4 large columns, this was what Ryuuhei always considered normal. Atop the archway, a balcony where the master and mistress of the home could exit the comfort of their study to enjoy the view. The mansion was large, able to house over 100 rooms inside and with it's decorative and sophisticated structure, it looked almost more like a castle.
The mansion had been built by Ryuuhei's great ancestor several years ago, Kimura Mako; the Dragonslayer. With his newfound fame after having defeated the wyrm that had terrorized the land several hundred years before, Kimura was made the village hero and was soon a treasured guardian. Back then, he was one of the few people who had learned to harness his ki and because of it, Kimura was seen as a deity of sorts. With this fame came zeni and with his new wealth, Kimura established his family and their name within the village of "Eastern Wind" which was now known simply as East City. The Mako family had become celebrities of sorts and with that, came the expectation of absolute success. Ryuuhei was burdened with the responsibility of keeping the namesake proud and although it had been difficult several times, this was the first where he had been a failure.
Moving inside of the mansion, Ryuuhei looked out to the interior, a breath taking French Chateau style with two staircases ascending in opposite directions, only to meet in the middle. This was the grand hall, the floors had been cleaned recently as the white marble tiles floors gleamed brightly. The walls inside were a cream color, each wall decorated with the outlines of arches through white trimming. The house was beautiful and well kept, of course with an area this large, the home had several butlers, one of which greeted Ryuuhei the moment he stepped inside. "Good afternoon young Master." The posh voice of the neatly dressed man snapped Ryuuhei back into the moment, the snow haired boy looking over. "Thank you Gordon. Are they here?" Ryuuhei asked in return as he allowed both of his hands to burrow into his pockets, trying to relax himself by keeping his calm demeanor.
"Of course young Master. Your mother and father have been seeing to some business arrangements." Ryuuhei nodded as he looked to the left side of the grand hall, there was several rooms branching off from this section, though he wondered if they had actually heard what happened. "Oh I see. Well, I shouldn't bug them then. I'll be lounging about!" Ryuuhei exclaimed as he took a step to the left, though of course, he could have predicted what happened next. "I'm afraid your father asked to see you in his study when you arrived, young Master. He said it was of the utmost importance that you speak with him." Ryuuhei swallowed the lump in his throat as a cold shiver worked its way up his spine. It was rare that he ever had gotten the chance to speak with his father in private, even when Ryuuhei was achieving and getting rewarded, his father never said a thing to him.
"I see. Then...I'll go see him."
